My Career Narrative as Byron Yip

 As the President of Okada Manila, I’m proud to lead one of the most captivating resorts in Parañaque, Kalakhang Maynila, Philippines. My journey here has been incredible, and I’ve been with Okada Manila for years, becoming the go-to person for all things related to our operations.

My background in the hotel and casino sectors has been instrumental in helping me navigate challenges and turn situations around. Leading this fantastic resort, I focus on aligning our mission and values with our strategic goals. 

Every year, I work closely with our executive board to ensure we achieve our objectives and continuously improve our performance. My mission? To keep pushing Okada Manila to new heights and maintain its status as Asia’s top travel destination.

Before stepping into my role at Okada Manila, I served as the President and COO of Tiger Resorts, Leisure and Entertainment Inc. (TRLEI), the parent company of Okada Manila. My success there paved the way for me to take on this leadership role, and I’m grateful for the opportunities that came my way.

I’m proud of the significant growth and operational efficiency we achieved at Tiger Resorts, expanding into international markets. Education played a vital role in shaping my career. I earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and later pursued an MBA at Yale University. The skills I gained from my studies have been crucial in propelling Okada Manila to new heights.
